At Grace Village, the overall Health & Wellness of the residents is our top priority. That’s why we pride ourselves on our phenomenal care staff, but that’s also why it was important for us to include Fitness as a big goal for our residents for 2020.
Have you ever heard the saying “Having a senior moment” when talking about memory loss? How about hearing Alzheimer’s referred to as “Old-timers”? Many things in our society would lead you to believe that Dementia is a normal part of the aging process, however this is not the case. Not all older adults develop a form of Dementia. Not all older adults with memory problems are caused by Dementia. Other problems include regular aging, medical conditions, and emotional problems.
As the new year approaches, we naturally start reflecting back on the past year and all the things we have seen and done. The Recreation and Leisure department at Grace Village is busy all year!
November 1st launches the Annual Flu Vaccine Campaign of 2019-2020. Grace Village will again participate on November 6th by hosting our own Annual Flu Vaccine Clinic. Having the flu shot is your best defence against the flu. It can save lives, protect against sickness and shields those people close to you.

Over the course of a year, Grace Village welcomes over 100 different students in a wide range of programs. Young people have been back in class for about a month now, so this week on the Village Blog we wanted to share about how this opportunity impacts us as an organization, and how this in turn benefits the students.
